Scheme.
We were shocked to discover however, that upon paying the bill, we were told we needed to book to get the discount, and that it was not available on the outside terrace, where we had sat! On a hot summers day, nobody is going to want to sit inside!
Being from the industry myself, I can confidently say that there is no requirement to book, and the guidance from the government on claiming the discount is very clear, it is available for ALL customers on food and soft drinks (not takeaway). The manager was extremely rude when questioned about this fact, and still refused to give the discount. There is no reason to not pass the discount onto customers, unless sadly it’s probably the case that this place will be charging full price to customers, and likely still claiming the money from the government too for each person that visits.
A great scheme from the government that is benefiting so many, being totally abused by this establishment! Truly disgusting, in turbulent times, and I sincerely hope it affects their reputation!

19 July 2018 Listed on Gov website as participating in eat out to help out scheme but refused to take discount off our bill , said you had to book in advance to... read more qualify , utter rubbish that is not a rule of the scheme , I challenged the manager but he would not budge . I believe there were other angry customers there with the same issue . I as a customer made an informed choice based on info available and am so angry at how I was treated !!
Have given it 1 rating coz you have to give it something , not worthy of anything in my book
